Terms

Short enough to actually read

Seven clauses. If you need something more formal for procurement, contact us and we will work through it.

01

What Medrota is

Software that helps an emergency department collect requests, generate a draft rota, review and publish it, and run the live month. It is provided by the Medrota team to departments that have agreed to use it.

02

The human stays in charge

Generated rotas are drafts. The published rota is the scheduler's decision, and clinical staffing judgment always belongs to the department, not to the software. Medrota surfaces warnings; it does not practice medicine or override people.

03

Founding phase

During the founding-department phase the service is provided free of charge, as is, while we harden it together. We work hard to keep it reliable and truthful, and the changelog records what actually ships, but we do not yet offer contractual uptime guarantees.

04

Your data is yours

The department's rota history, staff records and requests belong to the department. Full workbook exports are available at any time, and on leaving, data is exported on request and then deleted as described in the privacy note.

05

Acceptable use

Accounts are for the department's staff. Do not probe other departments' data, attempt to bypass role or capability checks, or use the system to harass colleagues. We may suspend access that threatens the integrity of the service or its records.

06

Liability, plainly

To the extent the law allows, Medrota is not liable for staffing decisions made with its assistance, for losses from misuse of accounts, or for consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

07

Changes

If these terms change, the date below changes with them and departments are told directly. Continued use after notice means acceptance. These terms were last updated on 5 July 2026.
